David Joseph Calcagno Sr.

David Joseph Calcagno, Sr. peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 14, 2026. He was born in Lutcher, Louisiana, on September 13, 1958, but spent the majority of his childhood in Montz, Louisiana. Later in life David moved to Reserve and spent the remainder of his life as a resident there.

David, also known as "Roach", thoroughly enjoyed going rabbit hunting with his dogs, as well as spending time outdoors. Above all though, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. "Roach" was the type of man who had passion for restoring items and always had a project to work on. David was a Pipe Fitter, and he dedicated 28 years of his life to doing this while working for Turner Industries.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Kathleen Calcagno; his children, Danielle Coburn (Michael) and David Calcagno, Jr.; grandchildren, McKenzie and Kara Coburn; mother, Sherry Calcagno and the late Joseph Calcagno; siblings, Terry Landry (Glenn) and Randy Calcagno; as well as his nephews Jesse Landry and the late Brian Landry.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation and Memorial Service on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Millet Guidry Funeral Home, located at 2806 W. Airline Hwy., Laplace, Louisiana 70068. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin immediately after at 11:00 a.m. and will be led by Father Ray Hymel.
