David Stuart Chant

Chant, David Stuart age 59, of Faribault, passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2025. Preceded in death by father, Stuart George Chant, grandparents, Dr. Rev. George W. and Evelyn Chant and Thomas and Peggy Hanzlik, and cousin, Jason Duffney. Survived by devoted children Adam and Isabel, Rachael and Grant Kastner, Madeline and Taylor Prip and Nathan, treasured granddaughter, Ella, former wife, Anne Chant, and mother Bonnie Chant. Also survived by siblings Michelle (Paul) Otten, Deborah (John) Nelson and Mark (Tina), and nieces and nephews James, Elizabeth, Dylan and Drew Otten, Samantha, Tyler and Josh Nelson, and Jaden, Devin and Ashlyn Chant, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. David was compassionate and had a heart for serving others. He was extremely artistic and had a genuine talent for home and interior design. He loved fishing, camping, the Boundary Waters, Minnesota sports, comedies and playing games with his kids. But what he loved most was spending time with his family and taking on the role of "Papa Dave" to his cherished Ella. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 10:00 am at Bethel's Rock Church, 6300 212 th Street West, Farmington, MN. Luncheon to follow. Private interment at Old Frontenac Cemetery.
