David Alan Clarno s story of life and love: October 5, 1931 Dale Clarno was born. Roughly a year later, September 20, 1932 Barbara Chatham was welcomed in this story. They met, fell in love, and were married July 27, 1953. On December 25, 1958 God granted this family with an amazing Christmas gift, David Alan Clarno. A little boy who absolutely loved to smile and laugh. August 29, 1964 David grabbed the title of Big Brother when his baby sister Colette Clarno was born. When David entered junior high, this family decided to make Llano, Texas their future. David loved playing sports as a Yellow Jacket and had a track record that stood for over four decades. David s Dad passed away on December 4th 1980. In 1988, he captured a Cajun s heart, Olga Castille. They were married on March 19, 1988. Together they raised three beautiful daughters. Rachelle French and husband Matthew of Arlington, Tx. Elise Lindsay and husband Chris of Llano, Tx. And the baby, Colette Johnson and husband Stephen of Fort Worth, Tx. On August 8, 2007 David was promoted with another title, Grandpa. He loved to cuddle and spoil all 6 of his grandkids: Bryson, Andrew, Graham, Lenya, Evelyn, and Peyton. David s Mom, Barbara went to join her husband in heaven on December 9th 2019. Just over one year later he lost his wife, Olga. She went to be with our Savior on January 7th 2021. Shortly after Olga s passing, he met a woman to help love him through the loneliness of grief, Glynn Ann Felsing. He fell quickly and deeply in love with this giving woman who became his fiance. Together they enjoyed vacations and the beginning of retirement until his story came to a close. David stepped into Heaven July 21st 2022. He will also be missed by his dear sister Colette Lockhart and husband Donnie, and David s loving nieces Kristin and Amanda.
David truly enjoyed his years in Llano, working for over 20 years at Buttery s Hardware and forging several friendships along the way. He also enjoyed serving at FBC Llano on the Worship Team and was the freshman Sunday School Teacher for many years. He loved card games, fantasy football, and laughing with friends while navigating life.
Services for David Clarno will be held at Bible Baptist Church in Llano, Tx on July 28th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers and decorations, the family asks to just make donations in David s honor to Bible Baptist Church of Llano.
