David T. Coleman, 70, of Coffeen Street died Tuesday July 8, 2025 at Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse, NY.

David was born March 22, 1955 in Watertown, son of the late May and Vincent Coleman. He graduated from Watertown High School.

Surviving is his sister Cathy and brother Danny, nieces, and cousins.

Before his retirement, Dave was employed by the Jefferson County Historical Society in Watertown serving as groundskeeper and maintenance worker where he meticulously maintained the grounds and property. Additionally, up until the time of his death, David was very involved with Alcoholics Anonymous of Jefferson County where he provided guidance and helped many people achieve sobriety over the past twenty-five years.

Over the years David enjoyed gardening and possessed a green thumb growing many varieties of flowers, vegetables and herbs. His gardens were beautiful. He also loved animals and gave rescue cats a nice home to live.

There will be no public visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will hold a gravesite memorial service at a future date. Arrangements are with the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous of Jefferson County, NY.
