David Conner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hippensteel Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 20, 2025.
David Brian Conner, 55, of Lafayette, passed away while surrounded by his loving family at his residence on Thursday, December 18, 2025. He was born on February 22, 1970 in Lafayette to the late Sam Conner and Janice (Coffman) Gibson.
David graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School. He joined his life-partner, Barbara Deaton over 32 years ago, and she survives. David and Barbara ran a daycare for 18 years, and he also spent some time working as an oiler for Lozier Oil. He was also very involved every year with the Feast of the Hunters Moon setup committee. In his free time, David enjoyed camping, fishing, being outdoors, having a cold beer (or two), and playing cards. More than anything, David cherished the time that was spent with his family.
In addition to his life-partner, Barbara Deaton, David is survived by his stepmother, Linda Conner; children, Jason Deaton, Jeremiah (Morgan) Deaton, Erica Conner, and Chloe Johnson; brother, Timothy Conner; sister, Jeannie (Gary) Hoaks; grandchildren, James Victor (Allison) Deaton and Katarina M. Deaton; and great grandchildren, Elliott James Deaton, Theodora Vaughn-Deaton, Hazel Roundtree, Kinsley Roundtree, and Bryson Roundtree.
There will be a Celebration of Life service for David held at a later date.
