David Anthony Cronauer

David Anthony Cronauer, O.D., age 59, of Laceyville, PA passed away at his home on Wednesday evening, May 29, 2024.
David was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on November 26, 1964, the son of the late Joseph (d. Feb. 28, 2013) and Margaret Conwell Cronauer (d. Dec. 18, 2018). After graduating high school, he attended Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre and Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He gained employment with The Brande Saad Group of Optometrists then with Eyeland Optical Center for a total of 32 years as an Eye Doctor.
In his free time, David enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing, and spending quality time with his beloved family members.
David is survived by his children, Lindsay Cronauer (Jon Brown) of Scottsville, PA, Lauren Socie (Ryan Morris) of Altoona, PA, Cassandra Patterson (Joey Gruver) of Meshoppen, PA, and David Cronauer of Scranton, PA; his grandchildren, Dakota, Malorie, Emma, Ethan, Sarah, Matthew, Leila, Gavin, Ella, Eva, Jericho, and Anastasia; and his brother, Joseph Cronauer (Will Cronauer) of Tunkhannock, PA.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his son, Michael Cronauer (d. Dec. 26, 2018).
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
