David Alan Dahlquist, passed away June 12, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, TN due to complications from open heart surgery. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 12 Noon at the Oakwood Cemetery in Brownsville, TN with Andy Austin officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon at the Brownsville Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN. The Inurnment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Brownsville, TN.
David was born in Great Falls, Montana on February 6, 1960. David was 64 years old and currently resided in Brownsville, TN with his wife of 17 years, Regina Hinsley Dahlquist. David attended Montana State University. He was a software engineer and had worked the last 14 years for the United States Treasury/IRS branch in Memphis, TN.
David is survived by his wife, sister and nephew. David was preceded in death by his mother, Marge Dahlquist; brother, Roger Dahlquist; and father, Lt. Colonel Kenneth Roger Dahlquist. David is also survived by his brother like cousins Ray, Todd and Dean Davis of Garland, Texas. David was blessed to have great lifelong friends from Montana: Terry Miller, Doug Liston, Randy Derby, Greg Vorhees, Andy Ericson and Arnie Jacobson.
David was a Christian, great friend, and wonderful husband. In his earlier years, he was quite the outdoor enthusiast. He loved snow skiing, scuba diving, hang gliding and even mountain climbed in South America with his wife. He also loved aviation like his dad and was a small engine pilot with his own plane. In more recent years, he worked constantly on home improvement projects while spoiling his wife and pups. God blessed him. He will be missed.
