David Delgado was born on March 16, 1945, in Bingham, Utah, to Jose and Ortenicia Delgado.

He passed away peacefully October 3, 2023, at his home in Kearns, Utah.

David graduated from Bingham High School in 1963. He started his career at Kennecott Copper Mine, He then moved on to join the restaurant business and opened two restaurants, the first one in Copperton, Utah and the second in Green River, Utah.

David has three children Delilah, David, and Jeremy.

David married Susan J. Delgado September 9, 2005, in Kearns, Utah.

Dave was best known for his love of fishing, camping, and hunting. That love for the outdoors was then passed down to his children, grandchildren, and now great-grandchildren. When his kids were little, after work on Fridays he would pack up the family to head out camping all weekend almost every weekend. As he got older that love never ended and if you couldn't find him you best believe he'd be somewhere fishing.

Dave absolutely loved his family, but one thing was certain, he adored being a grandpa. He devoted his days when they were younger to taking them to and from school in his old brown pick up truck which they were all too cool for. He didn't care, he loved his truck and he would show up day in and day out to take them to school.

He always made sure everyone was taken care of and would call almost daily to check in.

He had the most amazing sense of humor. If you knew him you knew him to always be cracking a joke or making you laugh with his silly comments.

Dave was an amazing man, he loved fiercely and unconditionally, and he was loved unconditionally. He is going to be missed tremendously by so many.

It was an honor to be loved by you!

David is survived by his wife Susan, children Delilah, David, Jeremy, 8 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren; his sister Mary Ellen, brothers Mike, Bob, and many nieces and nephews. David and Susan were married for 18 1 ⁄ 2 years and blended their families to include 4 step-children Beni, Mike, Lori, Lacey, and 11 grandchildren.

David is preceded in death by his father, mother, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, his granddaughter Chelsea, and daughter-in-law Julie.

The viewing will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 12:00pm-2:00pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.  The viewing will be followed by a luncheon at 11634 South Rolling Creek Way, South Jordan, Utah.
