David W. "Dave" Detchon, 71, of Hanoverton, OH, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at East Liverpool City Hospital. Born on October 21, 1954, in Salem, he was the son of the late Fred and Verla Jean Ferguson Detchon. He was predeceased by his wife, Trudy Allmon Detchon, and his brother, Dean Detchon. Dave was a proud Veteran of the United States Marines and made a significant impact as a truck driver for Snyder Construction. A testament to his strength, Dave celebrated 35 years of sobriety, during which he dedicated himself to guiding others to Jesus and supporting their journeys to sobriety. His willingness to help extended far and wide; he even volunteered after Hurricane Katrina. A skilled handyman and carpenter, Dave made meaningful contributions at Mill Creek Park. He relished his time spent taking country rides, walleye fishing, and, above all, being with his beloved grandchildren. Dave is survived by his companion, Wendy Frantz; his son, James Detchon (Felcia) of Salem and daughter, Tonya Vudrogovic; several grandchildren; and his sister, Diane Baughman. A celebration of his remarkable life will take place at Rogers Flea Market and Auction Community Restaurant, 45652 State Route 154, Rogers, OH., Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 5-8PM.
