David Lee Dietz of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025 at the age of 83.
Dave was born in Shamokin, PA and moved to Michigan when he was fairly young. While he always acknowledged he was born in Pennsylvania, he always told people he was from Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his Mother & Father, Wilbert and Eleanor; his 3 brothers, Jim, Danny and Tom; and his beloved son, Mark.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Pat), and his children Tracy (Huser & Tom) Chris Dietz and Chloe Dietz. Also survived by his 3 Grandchildren, 6 Step-Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren and 3 Step Great Grandchildren.
David was a loving husband and father. He was also a Veteran who proudly served his country in the Army.
David was also an avid sports fan and loved golfing, bowling, fishing, playing softball and darts. In his younger years, he was happy coaching and umpiring for his 3 Grandsons in little league baseball.
He absolutely loved "his" Michigan Wolverines. He was also a big fan of The Cubs, The Colts and Lions and The Pacers.
I will miss him every day for the rest of my life. So, one last time for my love...GO BLUE!!!
