Geoffrey R. Brueggen stepped from this life to eternal life at 11:00 pm on October 5, 2025 at the age of 38. Geoff ran the race before him with courage and endurance, even when he was diagnosed with Stage III (and later Stage IV) Colon Cancer in December of 2023. Cancer was not what defined him.
Geoff loved his wife and children fiercely and always did his best to show them how much he cared. He was a man of deep faith and integrity. He led his family well—by example and not just words. He constantly pointed his family and others to Christ. His work ethic was unmatched.
Geoff was one of the best friends anyone could ask for. He was loyal and always there to be a listening ear. He encouraged those around him to choose love and connection above all else. If you ever had a conversation with him about anything from technology to theology, you would quickly see the brilliant way his mind worked.
Geoff is missed by all who knew him, even for a short time. He was a unique and unrepeatable human being, and the world is better because he was in it. His legacy continues on in his children, Tabetha & Athanasius and his wife, Elise. His life has forever changed thousands around him as he faithfully pointed us all to Christ Jesus. May his memory be ever blessed and eternal.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at St. George Orthodox Christian Church in Fishers, Indiana at 1:30pm. Public visitation will begin an hour before. Geoff will then be laid to rest at Oaklawn Cemetery in Indianapolis at 3pm. After that, there will be a meal back at the church. This will be a time to remember the blessing of Geoff’s life to us all.
In lieu of a GoFundMe, the family is asking that donations be made toward the children’s trust through their church’s “Pastor’s Good Samaritan Fund https://www.stgindy.org/donate/. Please earmark your gifts by putting “Brueggen family” in the memo line. This trust will allow the children to be supported into the coming months and years.
