In Loving Memory of David Dijos
January 8, 1973 – June 9, 2025
David Dijos, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 52. Born in Honolulu, Hawai'i, David was a proud graduate of St. Louis School and someone whose heart was as big as his laugh.
David married the love of his life, Leslie, in November 2005. Together, they built a beautiful life grounded in deep love, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to their children, Kailee and Micah, who were his greatest pride.
A licensed optician by profession, David dedicated over two decades to helping others see the world more clearly. He worked with Pearl Vision and LensCrafters for 23 years before becoming a founding team member of Vision To Learn Hawai'i in 2017. There, David helped bring vision care to underserved schools and communities, providing more than 18,000 exams to keiki across the state-a legacy of service that will continue to impact lives for generations.
David was a true lover of life. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of movies, an eclectic taste in music, and an adventurous spirit that fueled his love for travel. Whether he was sharing a favorite film, planning the next family getaway, or simply spending time with loved ones, David approached every moment with warmth, humor, and heart.
He is deeply missed by his parents, Victoria and Cosme; his sister, Christine Wee (Phillip); his beloved wife, Leslie; and his children, Kailee and Micah. He was preceded in death by his brother, Sean, whom he carried in his heart always.
David's legacy lives on through the many lives he touched-with kindness, laughter, and an enduring spirit of aloha.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Holy Trinity Church on Saturday, July 26, 2025 - Visitation at 10:45am, Eulogies at 11:15am, Mass at 11:30am - 12:30pm. Private luncheon to follow
