David Joseph Dillingham

David "Dilly" Joseph Dillingham, 42, of Vernon Hills, passed away on February 24, 2024, quietly in his home. He was born on January 15, 1982, to the late Joseph P. Dillingham and Marcy J. Dillingham.
Dilly, as he was affectionately known, was a passionate animal lover, life of the party, fun-loving friend, and a jokester. David's childhood years were spent in Buffalo Grove, IL where he graduated from Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, IL. In his free time, he enjoyed time with pets, socializing with friends, watching movies, enjoying comedy, snowboarding, jogging, playing guitar, and listening to music. He was a long-time server at many local restaurants and more recently worked as a warehouseman at Europa in Vernon Hills.
He will be deeply missed by his loving mother, Marcy Dillingham; his sister, Stephanie (Joseph) Wahlund; his nieces, Brooke and Kaitlin Wahlund; his Aunt, Mary (John) Barry and many fun loving cousins and friends. He will be safe in the arms of many loved ones that passed before him including his beloved father, Joe.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Rd. in Buffalo Grove, IL. You may visit with the family at 10:30am, Mass will begin at 11:30am.
