David John Dobbins age 76 of Canton, passed away early Sunday, December 18, 2022. Born in Canton to the late John and Mayme (Mucci) Dobbins, he was preceded in death by his brother Scott Dobbins. David was a 1964 graduate of Timken Vocational High School, a member of the Timken Reunion Committee and the Canton Ex-News Boys. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Pamela J. (Caiazza) Dobbins, daughter Melissa (Scott) Erickson, son David J. Dobbins II, four grandchildren, Will and Grace Erickson, Caroline and Beckett Dobbins, and many nieces and nephews. Dave, as many of his friends and family knew him, had been a local, small business owner for many years, until he retired. He liked watching football, especially high school and college. He enjoyed taking cruises with his family and friends. In the last several years, he really had fun doing wood working. Everything from making tables for his grandchildren to custom pens. He spent time with his friends, many of whom are from his childhood, by going to weekly breakfast with "the guys".
He will missed by everyone who knew him. Respecting David's wishes there will be no calling hours or service.
