David Dobies Obituary
76, of Lower Burrell, died Tuesday November 4, 2025 in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born in Natrona Heights on November 14, 1948 to the late Thaddeus J. and Stephanie "Stella" B. Dubac Dobies.
Mr. Dobies was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War where he received The Purple Heart, The Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge. He worked as a civil engineer for Paul C. Rizzo and Associates, Monroeville for 40 years. He was a member of the former St. Ladislaus Roman Catholic Church, Natrona and Lower Burrell VFW Post 92. He enjoyed fly fishing, tying flies, visiting his camp in Oil City, going to the casino, traveling for work and Caribbean Cruises.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years Colleen Streeter Dobies, blended family including sons Thaddeus "Toby" (Audra) Dobies of Lower Burrell, Joshua Dobies of Arnold, Adam Dobies of Grove City, Eric (Stephanie) Suprano of Indianapolis, IN., Colin Suprano of Oakmont, grandchildren Thaniel Dobies, Chandler Suprano, Daniel McCarthy, Alivia Brewer and Kollin Brewer, and brother Richard (Denise "Dee") Dobies of Lower Burrell.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Rd. at Alder St. where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM by Rev. Dean Ward followed by Military Honors by the Vandergrift Veteran's Honor Guard. The family suggests donations made in his name to the Disabled American Veterans. www.dav.org www.RusiewiczFH.com
