Ronald "Ron" J. Williams, 79, formerly of Lower Burrell, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026 in UPMC – Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born September 21, 1946 in Everett, Washington, he was a son of the late Mervyn "Willie" W. & Louis (Parcells) Williams.

Ron was a 1964 graduate of North Kitsap High School. Ron had several jobs - he worked as a general manager of the Spitzer Auto Group, a sales manager for Wicks Furniture, owned Bevan Agency, drove a truck for a time, and started The Lighthouse Landing Marina in New Kensington. He retired in 2005. Ron also served our country with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Ron was a member of the Lower Burrell Moose. He was an avid reader and enjoyed golfing and boating. Ron also enjoyed working for the Valley Points Family YMCA. Most of all, Ron loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brothers, Merv and Don Williams.

Ron is survived by the love of his life and best friend of 59 years, Carol Williams; his daughter, Bonnie S. (Sean) Lantz of Apollo; his sons, Ron J. (Christy) Williams of Litte River, SC and Eugene M. (Lisa) Williams of Saltsburg; his grandchildren, Ashley, Tony, Joe, Tyler, Delaney, Maryssa, Jesse, Hanna, and Elijah; his great-grandchildren, Matthew and Benjamin; his sisters, Diane (Jim) Johnson of Kingston, WA and Jacqulyn (Pat) McLaughlin of Hansville, WA; and many other family members and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo. Additional visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m. Military honors will also be accorded by the Vandergrift Honor Guard following the service. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial requests may be made in Ron's name to the Lower Burrell Meals on Wheels, 1009 Puckety Church Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068.

This isn't goodbye, dad, it's a-flicka-da-hyvasin and a polka.
