David Doyle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Vistoso Funeral Home on Dec. 16, 2025.
David Joseph Doyle was born on November 16, 1936, in Massachusetts. He grew up in the town of Newton, graduated from Boston University with his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management and joined the Army before moving on to the Air Force for Officer training School, where he eventually became a Contracting Officer and Office Chief for the United States Air Force.

He married his wife Tonya Lynn Doyle in 1962 and became an instant father to Tonya's young son from a previous marriage. They welcomed their first two children together during their tenure in the Air Force. In 1969 David retired from the Air Force and the family moved to southern California where they resided for 25 years and eventually welcomed their youngest son. David was a dedicated father who was active in supporting his children's various sporting interests while working and traveling for business at Hughes Aircraft Company.

As part of his career succession planning, David continued his education by completing an Executive Management Program at UCLA and eventually graduating from Loyola Law School with his Juris Doctor.

Tonya and Dave retired in Tucson in 1994 and have resided here ever since. David is preceded in death by his wife Tonya and leaves behind, four children, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

David was a devoted husband and loving father who adored spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family always came first.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at St. Mark Catholic Church – Chapel, 2727 W Tangerine Rd, Oro Valley, 85742 at 10 am. Interment will be on March 5, 2026, at 10 am at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Marana.
