David James Driscoll

David (Dave) James Driscoll, 77, of Mountain Home, AR, passed away on Saturday, February 04, 2023. He was born on November 14, 1945, in Hartford, CT, the son of the late John J. and Mabel (Knowlton) Driscoll. David is survived by his loving wife Marie Driscoll, son David Driscoll (wife Ellen and sons John and William), daughter Meredith Driscoll, many extended family members, and his 100-pound lapdog, Jake.

He is predeceased by his brother John (Jack) K. Driscoll.

Dave graduated from Norwich University in 1968 and served as a decorated Army Officer during the Vietnam War. Dave was an avid hunter and fisherman who never lived without a nearby lake, stream, or mountain. Originally from Bristol, CT, he spent many years fishing Lake Champlain in North Ferrisburgh, VT, where he eventually settled, enjoying the leaves in the fall and the love of those around him. Tiring of the snow, Dave and Marie moved to Thomasville, Ga, where they enjoyed warm weather and travel to the Florida Coast for fried shrimp and oysters. Later, the two left for Mountain Home, AR, where Dave enjoyed fishing, hunting, and shooting. His hobbies included restoring antique firearms, distance running, and travel. In his later years, he enjoyed watching the deer from his back porch, fishing reel tinkering, and walking his dog. He was a good man with a great sense of humor that will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

At the family's request, no services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, Dave would much rather you enjoy a piece of chocolate cake, have a shot of whiskey, and rescue a pit bull.
