It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of David Carlson Duffy of Waltham. Dave was raised in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School and Boston College. Fascinated by the world of finance and investments, he worked in that industry for several years after college graduation. Ultimately, he brought those skills to his family company Duffy Properties of Waltham.
Dave divided his time between Cape Cod where he spent summers as a youth and New Hampshire where he learned to ski. He loved biking, skiing and the salt air of the beach.
Dear son to the late Norman and Cynthia Duffy of Lexington. He leaves his son Connor Duffy and ex-wife Jennifer O'Connor Duffy. His sister Donna Di Lillo and brother-in-law Louis and brother Steven Duffy and his partner Kathy Tivnan. His Nieces Anne and Katherine Di Lillo and Meghan Duffy His Nephews Ryan and Timothy Duffy. His Aunts and Uncle, Joe and Pat Magennis and Pam Duffy. A multitude of cousins and their children on both sides of his family. And many lifelong friends & co-conspirators from his Lexington High School Days.
All who knew David could not help being struck by his generous spirit and irresistible Mr. Grinch like smile. He was infinitely proud of his son Connor and reveled in sharing his love for him.
Visitation will be at Douglas Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington, MA, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 9 am to 11 am. The funeral service will be at 11 am at the same location. Internment after the service will be at Westview Cemetery, 520 Bedford Road, Lexington, MA 02241
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer a donation be made in David's memory to the Duffy Health Center, 94 Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601. https://www.duffyhealthcenter.org/give/giv2
