Mr. David Lee Evatt, 58, of Peach County, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022 at home surrounded by family.
A private celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 27, 2022.
Mr. Evatt was born March 3, 1964 in Atlanta, GA to the late Patricia Ann Good Evatt and Albert Leroy Evatt Jr. Mr. Evatt was a member of Central Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA and participated in the choir and served on the recreational committee. He was a 1982 graduate of McCallie School in Chattanooga, TN, 1987 graduate of Mercer University, and completed his Master s and Specialist s degree at Georgia College and State University. Mr. Evatt shared his passion for learning as an educator and administrator. After 30 years he retired from the Peach County School System in 2018. He continued to substitute several years after retiring.
He loved watching and officiating sports, volunteering, socializing, and most importantly, he loved our Lord. He loved his family especially his grandchildren, Luke and Elijah Evatt.
Mr. Evatt is survived by his wife, Dyan Rustin Evatt, to whom he was married to for 33 years; two children, David Rustin Evatt (Rebecca) and Sydney Evatt Hammock (John) both of Warner Robins, GA; two sisters Paula Evatt Beckman (Dan) and Pamela Evatt-Machado (Josu and a host of nieces and nephews.
His wishes were to reach others through the recreation programs at Central Baptist Church. Due to the wonderful mission opportunities of disc golf in our community as well as his son's love for the ministry, the family asks that donations be made to the disc golf ministry at Central Baptist in lieu of flowers.

I am so sorry to hear this. I was a Peach County School System employee who knew David and Dyan and I taught Rustin at Byron Elementary. Prayers lifted for this special family during this difficult time.
