David Gene Ferguson

David Gene Ferguson passed away on April 15, 2025 at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane Washington. He was Born in Colville, WA on February 9th 1949 to Mildred and Frank Ferguson. David graduated from Colville High School in 1967. He enlisted in the national guard and served for 6 years. Dave married Laurie McCollum on January 31st 1998 in Coeur D Alene Idaho. They did not have children together but loved their 5 children and the 27 years they had together. David worked and retired from the state of Washington as a plumbing supervisor. Dave loved NASCAR camping and taking the side by side up in the mountains he loved fishing, cooking, shopping for the best grocery deals. And he loved his two dogs. Dave will be remembered by his daily phone calls to his kids, letting him know about the weekly sales especially on bacon not to mention his embellished weather reports. Dave made holidays extra special. with his quirkiness and willingness to dress up and play silly games, so thankful for those memories. His fishing trips with his family will also be embedded in our hearts his daily routine was taking care of his dogs, his best friends. (His favorite line). BOTTOM LINE! He will always be remembered by his highly colored stories.
David will be survived by his wife Laurie, his daughter Kimberly and her husband Moana, his Son Bret and his wife Tami, and his daughter Jettie, and bonus sons Chad and Cody. He also leaves behind 11 grand children and 16 great grand children. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Frank and Mildred Ferguson. His twin Brother Dennis and two sisters Donna and Bobette. And also several cousins, nieces and nephews.
