David Paul Fetzer, age 78, fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on Friday July 23, 2021 in Appleton WI. David was born on Dec. 25,1942 in Milwaukee to George & Stella (Bolcerek) Fetzer. He graduated from Milwaukee West Division High School. He also attended Milw Tech College, receiving a certificate in Automotive work.
David felt called to preach & got his ministerial certificate. He traveled around the country with Native American friends, Fred & Betty Hanselman as they ministered together. From the mid 60's to the mid 70's, David was involved in black churches in Milw. where he preached, played guitar & sang.
On June 10, 1978, David married Denise Kay Fetzer. From 1979-1981, they were youth leaders @ Faith Assembly in Milw. From 1992-1995, David & Denise worked with Messianic Jews in Milw. @ H'vosh Adonai Messianic Fellowship where they taught Shabbat School. During his lifetime, David worked @ Heiser Ford in Milw, Utility Tool & Body in Clintonville, Walmart & Cleanpower in Appleton.
David is survived by his wife, Denise, two sons-Joshua Fetzer & Joseph Fetzer, & a daughter-Rose Fetzer. He is further survived by a brother George(Bernice) Fetzer Jr., two sisters Rose Sawyer and Sharon(Russ) Klein, brothers-in-law Bruce(Connie) Zeuske, Bradd(Laurie) Zeuske, Brian Zeuske, sister-in-law Sharyl(Steve) Steffek, & many nieces and nephews & extended family.
David was preceded in death by two children, his parents, stepmother Ella, sister Marion Marple, brothers-in-law Lee Marple & John Sawyer, great-nephew Craig Berres, nephew-in-law Brian Erickson & parents-in-law Dennis & Dorothy Zeuske.
A celebration of David's life will be held on Weds. Aug 11 @ Breakthrough Covenant Church, 215 E Washington St., Appleton, WI 54911. Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm followed by a service @ 2pm. Desserts (David's favorite) will be served from 12-3.
