David was born March 9, 1951 in Holmes County Ohio and was the son of Roy E. and Mary (Fortune) Geog. He was a 1969 graduate of West Holmes High School. Following graduation he served in the US Army during the Vietnam era. David worked 38 years at Mansfield Plumbing, retiring in 2012. He was a member of the Killbuck VFW and the Loudonville American Legion, where he had the honor of serving on the Color Guard. David enjoyed being outdoors, cutting firewood, spending time with family and friends; and loved the time spent at the Geog farm.
He was the beloved brother of his surviving siblings: Barbara (Carl) Peck of Logan, Ohio, Sharon (Herb) Mackey of Killbuck, Ohio, Mary (Steve) Strouse of Glenmont, Ohio, Norma DeWitt of Lakeville, Ohio, Pam (Dave) Guster of Dalton, Ohio and Kathy (Brad) Snyder of Killbuck, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews who all loved their uncle Dave.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Owen Carillon; and brother, Garry Carillon.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to those who walked this journey with Dave with visits, phone calls, cards and letters. A special thank you to his lifelong friend, Harold "Eagle" Butler and to LifeCare Hospice for all their care and support.
