David Gibson Obituary
David attended Cherryville High School and was an athletic trainer for several sports teams. He received a Bachelor's degree from Gardner Webb University and attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He worked as a rural route carrier for the US Postal Service for 30 years until his retirement in 2022. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where he faithfully and lovingly served as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and James, and his loving wife of 22 years, Theresa (TP).
The family will receive friends at Fairview Baptist Church, 1706 W. Davidson Ave., Gastonia, NC from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. A service to celebrate David's life will start at 11:00 am at the church. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church Building Fund, 1706 W. Davidson Ave., Gastonia, NC 28052.
