David Gittings Obituary

He retired from MSD and was an avid UK fan. David was an Army Veteran and a member of the 101 Club for UK. He volunteered for many years for the KY Humane Society, Kentucky Derby, and the PGA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Gail Gittings; brother, Kenneth Joseph Gittings; and sister, Deborah Gittings Kavanaugh.
He is survived by his siblings, Abbie Gittings Oesterritter, Gregory Edward Gittings, and Jeffrey Louis Gittings, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, that he loved dearly; and his former wife of 22 years, Sheryl Gittings.
His funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of his service Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the KY Humane Society or charity of the donor's choice.
