Born September 12, 1955, in Cumberland, MD, Mr. Glotfelty was the son of the late Joseph Glotfelty and Shirley Ann (Robertson) Glotfelty.
Dave graduated from Fort Hill High School in 1973. He owned and operated Glotfelty Installation for 30 years and formerly worked at CSX Railroad as an overhead crane operator. Dave was a member of the American Legion Post #13 SAL, where he was the finance officer for a number of years. He was also a life member of the Cumberland Outdoor Club and Goodfellowship Club. Dave enjoyed camping, going to the beach and playing shufflebowl.
Dave is survived by his wife of 28 years, Karen (Shrout) Glotfelty; his son, Brian Glotfelty; his daughter, Heather Eck; his grandchildren: Lukas and Hudson; his brothers: Thomas Glotfelty and wife, Rebecca; his sisters: Susan Crowley and husband, Paul, and Brenda Harrison and husband, Fred; his sisters-in-law: Debbie Pappas and husband, Greg, and Linda Uhl and husband, Greg; his brother-in-law; Steve Shrout and wife Karen; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
