Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dyersburg Funeral Home - Ridgely Chapel on Feb. 29, 2024.
Pastor David Bradley Gray went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in
Memphis, Tennessee. David was born on Wednesday, April 24, 1957 in
Santa Monica, California to the late Billy Earl Gray and Alice Ann Pigue Gray. He faithfully served as Pastor of Abundant Life Fellowship Church in
Ridgely, Tennessee since 1985. David attended Rhema Bible Training College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He served as Tennessee Director for Rhema Bible Training College beginning in 2006 until 2015 when he became a Midsouth Regional Director for Tennessee and Kentucky. Pastor David spent his life bringing people to the Lord and nurturing their relationship with Him. In the Book of John, Jesus said to Peter "[if you love me] feed my sheep." Two things are certain: David loved the Lord with all of his heart, and he was faithful to feed the sheep of Abundant Life Fellowship Church well by teaching them faith in the Word of God.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2024 at Abundant Life Fellowship Church with Rev. Don Adkins, Rev. Tony McKinnon and Rev. Kenneth W. Hagin officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday March 4, 2024 at the church.
David is survived by his wife of 38 years, Tammy C. Gray; his mother Alice Ann Gray; brother Christopher Gray (Sherry); two nephews Matthew Gray and Jared Hayes; son-in-law Joshua Nolen and daughter-in-law Hayley Nolen; a host of great nieces and nephews; and his ALFC Family. David was preceded in death by his father Billy Earl Gray, his daughter Anna Kathryn Gray Nolen, and his grandparents: Bill and Pauline Pigue, Homer Gray, and Verla Gray.
David's spiritual birthday was March 2, 1980. He was born again in Dyer County Jail and frequently shared his testimony as an example that, with the Lord, anyone can turn their life around. David's heart was to share the good news of the gospel: that "God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him" (John 3:16-17). The Bible says "Whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Acts 2:21) If you have not received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, David would encourage you to pray this prayer:
Dear God, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and Savior of my life. Thank you for saving me.
In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
