David Hamby Obituary

David served in the United States Coast Guard. David retired as a Colonel in the Mississippi State Guard after volunteering for twenty years.
David is survived by his wife Jo Ann Hamby, daughter Patricia Overstreet (Chris), son Wayne Hamby, son Adam Hamby (Stephanie), his brother Neal Alsup (Mary), sister Cathy Hand (Terry) and eight grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his parents Catherine and Mansel Alsup, brother Curtis Hamby and sister Blanch Richie.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Friday, December 29, 2023 at Culpepper Funeral Home. No visitations will be held prior to the service. A private burial will be held at Parkway Cemetery.
