David James Hamby, 40, of Green Bay, was called home into eternal life on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
David was born on September 19, 1984, in Jacksonville, Florida to Jim and Debbie (Delveau) Hamby. He attended NWTC in the Automotive program and enjoyed working as a mechanic most of his life.
David had a very kind heart. He was happiest when he was helping someone else and he would happily give you the shirt off his back. David loved his children deeply and was so proud of them. He also had a deep love for animals and was forever bringing home another rescue. He loved playing video games, watching movies, playing cards, going to the YMCA, and going down to the shoreline to watch the sunset over the water or enjoying a beautiful rainbow after a storm. David also had a deep love of music and spent many nights with his cousin, Jake, jammin' with different instruments.
David is survived by his four daughters - Dakota Hamby, Deanna Raby, and Aurella and Fiona Hamby; his sister, Heather (Justin) Anderson; his mother, Debbie (Greg) Pierre; his niece, Cassidy Wolf and Nephews, Orion (Olivia) Wolff and Mason Anderson; his Aunt Vicki (Bill) Collins, his Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Doug Delveau, and his cousins, Jake (Kristin), Brian (Megan), and Kristi Collins. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Hamby and his grandparents, Barbara and Duane Delveau.
David will be deeply missed by his family and friends and his cat, Georgie.
Relatives and friends may visit at the Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., Green Bay, Wisconsin, on Thursday, June 19, 2025. from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A short service to honor David's life will take place immediately following visitation along with the sharing of stories and special memories.
