David Haney Obituary
David John Haney, 79 of Dryden, NY passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024 at home with his loving wife by his side.
Born December 28, 1944 in Syracuse, NY he was the son of the late Donald and Flora Green Haney. David was self employed for the majority of his life. He was a truck driver, he owned and operated Haney's Radiator Repair and Haney's Auto Parts in Ithaca. Following the store closure, he became a partner in Glyph Technologies in Ithaca and finally he returned to the auto parts business working at NAPA in Dryden and seeing many former customers.
David is survived by his wife, Esther Bielecki Haney of Dryden, NY; his son, John David (Marin) Haney of Vermont; brother, Michael (Joanne) Haney of Wisconsin; five nieces, two nephews and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Dawn Haney and brothers, William and Lyle Haney.
There will be calling hours from 10 am until 12 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY.
