David Louis Hennion, 74, of Pontiac Michigan, passed away on 4/18/2023.
David was born on 8/16/1948 to Otho Cecil Hennion and Gloria Jane Drysdale in Detroit, Michigan. After David graduated from Lakeview High School in 1967, he joined the Marine Corps.
A Vietnam Veteran, David served his country from 1967 until 1975.
After his tour in Vietnam, David was stationed in Sasebo Japan where he continued his service as military police.
In 1970, David met Miyoko in Sasebo Japan. David and Miyoko went on to have two children, Cindy Jahn (Kerry) and Kevin Hennion.
In 1996, David retired and spent his time helping fellow veterans fight for their veteran's benefits. He enjoyed his hot rod 1991 Dodge Dakota Pick-Up truck as well as wood working.
David was predeceased by his parents Otho and Gloria, and his brother Dennis. He is survived by wife Miyoko, children Cindy and Kevin, grandchildren Drake and Landen, brother Danny, sisters Dawn Soby (John) and Darlene Welch (Roger), as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local VFW hall (Veterans of Foreign Wars).
David will be laid to rest at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Memorial service will be held on June 12, 2023, at 2PM.
