David Haynes Hickman

David Haynes Hickman, 54, passed away at home unexpectedly due to complications from a heart attack on December 25, 2025.

David was born in Kingsport, TN on August 19, 1971, and was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. He loved hunting, fishing, and going for rides down the backroads listening to music and spending time with his family, and that was Dave's happiness. His greatest joys in life were his family, and he loved them more than anything.

David is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Hickman; four loving daughters and sons-in-law, Crystal James Tombaugh, Cayla and Travis McDavid, Catie and Travis Nichols, and Bella and Avery Cobb; two sons, beloved grandkids, Dylan, Kadyn (Kylie), Landyn, Bentley, Joe, Gabriella, Ivyann, and McKinlee; mother and father-in-law, Betty and Charles Edwards; aunts and uncles, Matilda Davidson, Steve, Ron Davidson, Clifford and Kathy Davidson, Herbert and Mary Sue Davidson, and Alice Ann Ketron; as well several loving cousins.

A visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Valley View Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:15 PM to go in procession to the cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be James, Travis, Travis, Avery, Kadyn, Landyn, Bentley and Chase.
