David Holtz, age 69, passed away on November 30th, leaving behind a legacy as unforgettable as he was. David lived life boldly and entirely on his own terms. A true rebel at heart, he loved loud music, fast motorcycles, and the thrill of being just a little bit wild. His free spirit, stubborn humor, and big personality made him impossible to forget.
David is survived by his son and two granddaughters, though he did not maintain a relationship with them. He is also survived by his sister, Joanne Kovaschetz, as well as a large extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who knew him best and loved him for exactly who he was.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ruth Holtz; his sister, Lois Whitmore; and his brothers, Alfred J. Holtz and Edwin Holtz.
Private services were held in accordance with the family’s wishes. The family extends sincere thanks to the staff at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and the VA Hospital of Wisconsin for their care and support.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date for family, where stories of his music, motorcycles, and wild-hearted adventures will be shared. He will be laid to rest at Union Grove War Cemetery.
David lived loudly, loved fiercely in his own way, and will be remembered with smiles.
