David Lee Housden, Sr., 80, of Shenandoah Junction, better known to all his friends as "Dave", passed into the hands of God and family members in Heaven very unexpected on October 11, 2025.

Born July 14, 1945, in Shenandoah Junction, WV, he was the son of the late Carlton and Mazie Housden. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He loved the outdoors and his yard and especially his rose garden. He had beautiful roses to show for his hard work. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and father-in-law.

He was a truck driver for Southern States for numerous years before retirement in 2007.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, of 61 years; two sons, David, Jr. (Angie), Jeffery, Sr. (Maggie); eight grandchildren, Chasity, Jeffery II, Carole Ann, David III, Elaina, Bailey, Amy, and Camden; two great-grandchildren, Kye Michael and Kenslee; two sisters; five brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV, with Pastor Kelly Day officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town, WV.
