David L. Humphrey, 72, of Tell City, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born in Tell City on May 7, 1952, to Vernon and Hilda Jean (Bolin) Humphrey.
David was a 1970 graduate of Cannelton High School. He went on to serve our country by joining the United States Navy, during the Vietnam War. David worked as a self-employed carpenter, and enjoyed wood working, leather craft, motorcycles, and playing music.
He is survived by his daughter, Sara Brown (Glen) of Evansville; a brother, Steve Humphrey (Tonya) of Tell City; 2 grandchildren, Carson Brown and Jezmyne Humphrey; his best friend Lois Humphrey; niece, Kelly Conner; nephew, Mike Humphrey; and great nephew, Michael Poehlein.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Humphrey and a brother, Don Humphrey.
Services will be at 6:00pm on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Pastor Derek Roe officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00pm until service time.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity of your choice.
