David Michael Humphreys, age 55, of Edelstein, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
David was born on October 11, 1969 in Princeton, IL to the late Errold and Roberta Jean (Lundeen) Humphreys, Sr.
Surviving are his children, Nicholas (Christina) Humphreys and Alexandra (Eric) Featherstone, both of Chillicothe, IL; his grandson, Noah Humphreys; his siblings, Errold Humphreys, Jr. of Buta, IL, Crystal Stocking of Sheffield, IL, Yvonne (Chris) Humphreys of Conway, AR and Richard (Jenna) Humphreys of Wyanet, IL; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his significant other, Melissa Buzikas.
Having spent some of his younger years on a farm, David had a love and appreciation for the outdoors. He worked for Spring Green and then became the assistant superintendent for Arrowhead Country Club for 24 years. He enjoyed being outside and doing yardwork and fishing. David also loved sports; he played high school football and ran track. He also enjoyed golfing at the country club and watching NFL football. Most importantly, he loved his family and his Sunday facetimes with them.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11am at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe with visitation beginning at 10am. Rev. David Pyell will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Memorials in David's name may be made to Arrowhead Country Club Grounds Maintenance Department.
