David P. Hutterer, age 79, a Two Rivers resident, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Meadow View Assisted Living, Two Rivers.
He was born November 8, 1945 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, son of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Shimek) Hutterer. Dave attended Mishicot High School, graduating with the class of 1963. Following high school, he began employment at Manitowoc Company as a machinist. Dave enjoyed 38 years at Manitowoc Company before his retirement. He enlisted in the United States Army Reserves and was called to active duty to serve in Vietnam. Following his deployment, he completed his military service as a reservist and was honorably discharged in 1971.
Dave had many hobbies including fishing, hunting, trapshooting, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and bowling. He enjoyed hanging out with friends and family, and often went on mini and big jags. He also loved playing cards including Sheepshead and Cribbage. Dave had a cabin in Silver Cliff, Wisconsin, where he enjoyed spending his time.
Dave is survived by his siblings: Judy (Aloyce) Seidl, Dale Hutterer (special friend Ellen), and Darrell Hutterer; brother-in-law: Tom Peroutka; sister-in-law: Margaret Hutterer; nieces and nephews: Chris (Dave) Lensmeyer, Gary (Tammy) Seidl, Tracie (Doug) Dokey, Holly (Jay) Steuer, Mike Peroutka, Cindy (Brian) Lemmens, Michelle (Tom) Arndt, Mike (Kate) Hutterer, Vicki (Joe) Trost, Mark Hutterer, Dylan Hutterer, and Jordan Hutterer; many great-nieces and great-nephews; special friends: Brian Schmidt and Wayne Cherney; as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister: Bonnie Peroutka; his brother: Dan Hutterer; and his sister-in-law: Kathy Hutterer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 202 S. Packer Drive, Francis Creek. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Robert Mitchell. Following the service, Dave will be laid to rest at St. Anne Catholic Church Cemetery, Francis Creek. Military rites will be accorded by VFW Kubale-O'Connell Post #6179 of Kellnersville. A luncheon will be held for family and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 N. Water Street, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Dave's name.
