David Jordan Obituary
BATAVIA - David Richard Jordan, age 84, passed away on February 9, 2024. He was born on April 19, 1939, to the late Ralph and Ruth (nee Burger) Jordan. David was the devoted husband of Jan Blankemeyer (nee Spreen); loving father of Kenneth (Stacy) Jordan, Constance (Lance) McMullen, and JoEllen (Greg) Darling; step-father of Jodi (Colin) Smith, Jayme (Nate) Young, Jill (Byron) Sholle, and Jeffrey Blankemeyer; cherished grandfather of Kyle (Elizabeth), Kelsey (Robert), Joshua (Brittany), Brandon, Samantha (Matt), Sydney, Maggie, Riley, and Eric; great-grandfather of Jordan, Jude, Hailey, Peter, Owen, Austen, Cole, and Alex; and dear brother of Mark (Linda) Jordan and the late Nancy Ott.
David was an avid horseback rider, it was the joy of his life. David loved all things outdoors, especially the beach, skiing, boating, traveling, and camping. He was a member of a chess club, and he was especially fond of spending time with the family around a campfire. Friends and family may visit from 10AM to 12PM funeral service on Monday, February 19, 2024, at Moore Family Funeral Homes - 225 Spring Street, Batavia, Ohio 45103. Interment will follow at Williamsburg Cemetery in Williamsburg, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David's honor may be made to a charity of choice.
