David Raymond Jordan, age 69, of Knoxville passed away March 10, 2025, at Sacred Ground Hospice House surrounded by family. He succumbed to HCC liver cancer after 20 months of cancer treatments and a clinical trial at Sarah Cannon in Nashville. David was the proud son of the late Raymond and Mavis Jordan, living an idyllic childhood in Bruceton, Tennessee. He excelled in sports, music, and making life-long friends. He was a proud alumnus of Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School in West Tennessee and a member of First Baptist Church-Bruceton. David had a passion for history, music, and travel. He and Pam traveled the world to explore ancient ruins, historical sites, The Beatles, and UT sporting events. Earlier in David's life, he was a railroad conductor at Norfolk Southern Railway in St. Louis. In 1980, he moved to Knoxville to attend the University of Tennessee. While in school, he worked at Valley Bank for a period, and in 1982 he went to work at Clayton Homes corporate office. After a memorable 35-year career, David retired as Vice President of Corporate Services at Clayton Homes. David attended UT-Martin after high school. After moving to Knoxville, he attended the University of Tennessee-Knoxville where he received a B.S. in Business Administration followed by a Masters of Business Administration, with the distinction of being a member of UT-Knoxville's first Executive MBA Class. David loved his family dearly. He emulated his late parents through his good deeds and kindness. He demonstrated love, patience, and grace each day. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Pamela Myers Jordan; children, Christopher King (Laura) and Lori Molter (Jason); grandchildren, Tyler Alexis Dockery (Dylan), Lola Morgan King, and Andrew Jordan Molter; step grandchildren, Jack and Cole.
