David Kain, age 79, of Milan, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Barbara Kain; his children Tracy (Ric) Harves and Richard (Patsy) Kain; grandchildren Linsey (Joe) Abplanalp, Adam (Alexah) Harves, Nicholas Harves, and Sarah Kain; great-grandchild Xander Abplanalp; and his sister Alice Barlow.
David was preceded in death by his parents, David P. and Mildred Kain.
He retired after over 50 years as a dedicated mold maker in the glass industry. A man of many interests, David enjoyed fishing, trap shooting, mushroom hunting, and antiquing. He was an active member of the TriCounty Coonhunters Conservation Club, the Lions Club, and served his community as a volunteer firefighter for 15 years.
Friends will be received on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 9:30-11:30 am at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana 47001.
A funeral service will be will immediately follow at 11:30 am with Pastor Jon Porter officiating.
Interment will be in the Union Cemetery in Eaton, Indiana.
Contributions may be made to the TriCounty Coonhunters Conservation Club, in honor of David's lifelong love of the outdoors and conservation.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
