David Kao, 82, of Manalapan, passed away on July 30, 2025. Born in Shanghai, China, he came to the US in 1969 and lived in Manhattan and Brooklyn, NY before moving to Manalapan in 1988. Before retiring in 2009 David was a Postal Clerk for the US Postal Service in Manhattan for 23 years.

Beloved husband of Shirtfong (Ng) Kao. Devoted father of Dorothy Kao and her husband Kevin Xue, and Oswald "Ozzie" Kao. Loving grandfather of Kyle Xue and Kayla Xue. Dear brother of Paul Chuen Po Ko, Ai Lieu Kao, and Jennifer Tai Lieu Kao.

Visiting Saturday, August 9, 2025, 9 AM to 11 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Prayer Service will begin at 9:45 AM. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
