David H. Kegerreis, 85, passed away peacefully at his home on February 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 24, 1939, in Bethel, and lived a life dedicated to his family, faith, and his work.
David had a distinguished career in construction, operating Kegerreis Bros. Construction for many years before continuing his journey with Kegerreis Stoves, where he worked alongside his sons. His dedication to his profession was matched by his commitment to serving his community. David served as an Elder and a Minister at Millbach Conservative Brethren Church, where he shared his faith and offered guidance and support to many. In his free time, David enjoyed tending to his sheep, hunting, fishing, going to the cabin and most of all hosting family campfire nights.
He shared a rich and loving partnership of 63 years with his wife, Rhoda (Longenecker) Kegerreis. Together, they raised a family that includes their children: Yvonne M. Mallow, wife of Mike, of Clearville; Dean L. Kegerreis, husband of Mary, of Bethel; Brian N. Kegerreis, husband of Kim, of Bernville; Kathleen M. Baum, wife of Doyle, of Schuylkill Haven; and Kristy J. Alspaugh, wife of Marcus, of Schuylkill Haven. David took joy in being a grandfather to 17 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 23 great-grandchildren.
David is also survived by several siblings, including Fern Wolfe, wife of Verling; Darlene Marks, wife of Marlin; Jean Keeney, wife of the late Lamar; and Maxine Wilkerson, wife of Kenneth. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Amy (Gibbel) Kegerreis, and two brothers, Marlin Kegerreis and Harold Kegerreis, husband of the late Fern Kegerreis.
