David Bert Kerr, born on June 1, 1944 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Fred and Hazel Kerr, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025. He was 81 years old.

After enlisting in the Navy and spending some time serving his country in the Vietnam era, David worked in cash register sales for NCR for 25 years before taking a job with Gage foods. After about 5 years with them, he decided to retire and focus on his favorite hobbies..

David was an avid saltwater fisherman. Whether it was off of a dock or off of a boat, David was all about it, and did not miss a chance to cruise down to Corpus Cristi and drop a line in the big blue.

On any given day, you could also catch David sporting his dark-blue 1949 Ford. He was proud of that car, and spent 40 years washing, waxing, polishing, and working on that car. Whether it was a car show, a competition, or just because, David was quick to hop in and go for a spin.

David was one of the good guys, and the type of guy that would do anything he could for anyone he loved. Sunrise to sunrise, he was accountable, and willing to help when he could.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Hazel Kerr; brother, Freddie Kerr; and the mother to his sons, Nancy Kerr. He is survived by his sons, Roy and Terry Kerr; brother, Glen Kerr; grandsons, Cody and Hunter Kerr; and his long-time best friend, Donna Green.

A Funeral Service will be David at Barnes Friederich & Pope Funeral Home, 1820 S Douglas Blvd, Midwest City, OK, 73130, at 10:00am, Thursday, September 25, 2025.
