David G. LaBarr, born on January 30, 1947, in Poughkeepsie, NY, bid farewell to this world on November 23, 2023, in Wellsburg, NY. He lived a life filled with laughter, love, and a dash of mischief, leaving behind a trail of memories for all who were fortunate enough to know him.
In his younger days, David served in the United States Air Force, where he honed his skills and developed an unwavering commitment to duty. After his time in the service, he found his calling at Em Hart Glass as a Maintenance expert, effortlessly keeping things in working order with his capable hands and quick thinking. Colleagues knew they could always count on David to solve any problem that crossed his path.
David now joins his mother, Frances L. Wells, and father, Kenneth W. LaBarr in eternal rest.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved daughter, Sherry Stryker, and her husband Jeffrey Stryker, who will forever hold their father's spirit close. The joy of David's life came in the form of his grandchildren, Jennifer Stryker, Dustin Seaver, and Amber Huffman, each one a testament to the love he showered upon them. The laughter continued with his great-grandchildren, Loralie, Mackenzie, Remington, Addie, and Julianna, who inherited his mischievous spirit and infectious smile.
David's sister, Janet Jones, shared a lifelong bond of love and memories with him, a connection that will be cherished forever. And let us not forget his great friend, Carol Doland, who was always by his side, lending a listening ear and sharing in his adventures.
As we bid farewell to David G. LaBarr, may we remember him for the laughter he brought into our lives, the wisdom he imparted, and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. Rest in peace, dear friend, and may your spirit forever dance in the realms of mischief and mirth.
Services are private and will be at the convenience of David's Family. The Roberts Funeral Home, 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY 14894 has been entrusted with the arrangements.
