I would like to send my condolences to the family and his wife and his children. I grew up with him and he was an amazing person. I am still stunned to know that he’s gone. It’s like that saying the good ones die. Well, I will say lots of prayers and condolences to your family.

My wonderful cousin! I can't believe its been 2 years since the great lord took you from us.I still remember our last days together on New Years. No time to take life down from the shelf
No time to sing the song of yourself...
But one thing is for sure, you loved and were loved enough for a lifetime.

David's life is a beautiful memory,
His death is a silent grief;
He sleeps in God's beautiful garden,
In sunshine of perfect peace,
Brother I miss you so much,

He let me have you many years,
Then gently laid you to rest.
I will always remember for as long as I can, the way it felt to hold my big brother's hand. He was such a great person and loved his family so deeply. My heart, love, tender thoughts and prayers go out to his beautiful wife Vanessa and his sons; Christian, Emilliano and Michael. I love you all and am so greatful to have such wonderful members of the family like all of you. God bless and always remember that David is in such a better place and that all the hurt and loss we feel will eventually fade away. David, most of the things I remember about you were from when I was little, I looked up to you alot. Though I'm much younger than you, you always were so willing to introduce me to all of your friends, you were never embarrassed or or worried about impressing anyone, and though it may have been nothing to you, I'll never forget how important you made me feel...with just the little things. Though I didn't get much oppourtunities to get to know you as an adult, I seen the same adoration from Gabriel when you two shared some laughs together this Christmas, a memory that will forever stick in my mind. I thank you for those beautiful things to look back on. I love you David, beyond words, and you will always fill a special part of my heart. P.S. please hug my mother for me.

David, we will miss you. I am sorry I did not get to spend more time with you, it gets hard when the family spreads out and gets separated by many miles. The last time I can recall the two of us being together, I sobered up in the back of a police car, after we split up at the park (at some early morning hour). I must have fallen asleep (passed out) waiting for you to return (we each had one of my shoes on, as you were barefooted). Luckily, they took me to Heather's at Bay St. apartments. Ah, fun times - We shared love, life, the things of God, the crazy times, and the good times (oh, and a pair of shoes !!) - I love you, and will miss you very much. Could ya put in a word with the big guy, we still need a lot of help down here :)

My condolences go out to the family. I did not know David Jr., but I remember his grandparents, Oscar & Rachel, and his dad as a child. The Lira family were very good friends of my parents back in the 60's and I just lost my mother, Consuelo Hernandez, last week. My prayers are with you.
