With deep sadness, we announce the passing of David Mark Luna. David was born February 15, 1961, to Heradio & Aurelia Luna in El Paso, Texas. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a great friend to many.
David grew up in Van Horn and is known by many for his crazy humor. He had a way of making you laugh with his crazy jokes. David was a diehard Cowboy fan.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Heradio and Aurelia Luna, his brother, Heradio “Roddy” Luna, Jr. and his son, Edward Joseph Luna.
David leaves behind his wife, Sandra Luna, his sons, David Luna Jr. and Marcos Luna and his grandchildren, Edward Gomez Jr., Ray Gomez, Joel Gomez, Andres Gomez, and Jiovanni Luna. His sisters Sylvia Valdez, Julia Calderon (Fernando), Viola Luna, Linda McDonald (Lyndon) and his brother, Castulo “Cass” Luna. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass was held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Wednesday February 12th officiated by Father Serjio Legarreta of Van Horn. The burial followed at the Van Horn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Luna Jr., Marcos Luna, Edward Gomez, Roddy Luna, Omar Flores, Alberto Urias, Duane Corrales, and Urbino Melendez.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home of Van Horn, Texas.
