David A. Lytle, 76, of Birdsboro, passed away on January 3, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, surrounded by the love of his family.

David was the loving husband of Nancy Joan (Herner) Lytle of Pottstown PA, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage and a life built on love, patience, and quiet devotion.

David was known as a quiet friendly man. He enjoyed fishing, building models and fixing things around the house.

Born and raised on a cattle farm in Friendsville, Maryland, David learned early the value of hard work and self-reliance. He worked for more than 30 years in maintenance at Flaggs in Pottstown until the company closed in 1997. David at times worked two jobs to provide for his family.

David was a soft-spoken, gentle man who loved his family deeply. He found joy in listening to classic country music, watching cowboy movies, and tinkering around the house, always finding something to fix or improve.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; daughter Jill Willman and her husband Dennis, of Exeter Township; and sons, Daniel Rhoads and his wife Arlene and Lawrence Rhoads and his wife Cris, of Shoemakersville. David was a proud grandfather to Krystal Willman, Tyler Willman, Justin Willman, Andrew Willman (Eva), and Taryn Rhoads, and a cherished great-grandfather to Emmet, Levi, and Sienna.

David was one of seven children. He had no surviving siblings.

David will be remembered for his kindness, his quiet strength, and the deep love he had for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 2 pm at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc, 5153 Kutztown Road, Temple, PA 19560. The family will receive friends and relatives from 1:00 pm until the start of the service.
