Robert Lytle Obituary
Robert S. Lytle, age 99 of Plum, and formerly of Squirrel Hill, passed away peacefully Friday January 9, 2026. Son of the late Jean and Earl Lytle. Beloved husband of the late Joan (Kelly) Lytle. Loving father of Robert S. Lytle, Jr. (Diane Nystrom), Pamela S. Ferchak (Raymond), Earl M. Lytle (Rebecca), and Lynn Ann Ley (Leo). Also survived by ten grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; including one the way, and three great-great grandchildren. Brother of Carol (late Huey) Riscoe. Also preceded in death by four siblings. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bob was a kind and gentle soul. Everyone loved and adored him. He was a friend to everyone and will be missed by all who knew him. Even though it is a sad ending, he is now at peace and reunited with his wife Joan.Friends and family will be received on Sunday January 11, 2026, from 2-6 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139.
A funeral service will be held Monday January 12, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with military honors. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Pittsburgh.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
