David Neal Manus, 77, of Monroe, NC, entered peacefully into his eternal life on Sunday, November 20, 2022, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. David was born on August 28, 1945, in Matthews, NC, to the late Frank and Ella Manus.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Holland Funeral Service. Mr. Manus will be laid to rest at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00pm until 1:45pm.
David is preceded in passing by his father, Frank Manus; his mother, Ella Manus; two sisters, Louis Trull, and Carolyn Squires; two brothers, Larry Manus, and Roger Manus; one son, Dale Manus; and three grandsons, Dustin Manus, Jesco Riley, and Willie Medlin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Manus; his former wife, Betsy Manus; brother, Randy Manus; children, Cindy Medlin (Ken); Angelia S. Wilson (David), Charlotte Ross, Bryan Manus, Crystal Hensley, Carolyn Vick, and Farrah Manus; grandchildren, Billy Glasson, Brandi Manus, Jami Crowell, Brittany Garris, Shellie Crowell, Alex Sanchez, Marti Sanchez, and Peyton Ross, Alaina Manus, Kayla Beaumont, Liam Vick, Ava Ball, Bella Kelly, Edward Kelly, Ken Medlin Jr. (Sam), and Kristin Sampson (Roman); great-grandchildren, Tyler Hinson, Ashlynn Garris, Brooklynn Garris, Seth Garris, and Landon Garris, Jordan Phiefer, Jaydan Whitley, Paisley Strawn, and Anessia Mendosa Sanchez; and his special friend, Dale Merritt, who David thought of as his own.
David was a man with a contagious and witty personality. His ability to make others laugh always had a way of lighting up the room. He was a carpenter by trade by could truly work on anything; he was a jack of all trades. He loved playing his guitar and never missed an opportunity to sing his favorite songs. He will be greatly missed and cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
As the old saying goes, "Last But Not Least", we bring light to David's only living sibling, Randy. Contrary to the old saying, brother randy is last but he is certainly not least. Randy did more for his brother than anyone ever could. At least he was his best friend, and at least he was able to provide David will much comfort and joy not only throughout his life, but also in his finale days. This family will sincerely thanks Randy for all he has done.
