David Arnold Marmon Jr., age 67 of Kalamazoo, passed away on January 29, 2023. David was born on April 19, 1955 in Lowville, NY, the son of David Sr. and Janet (Rocker) Marmon. David operated Marmon Trucking and Sanitation in Port Leyden, NY for 32 years, retiring in 2015. He was also an active member and chief of the Port Leyden, NY Fire Department for more than 20 years. David loved trucking, but most of all, he loved his family, especially his kids and grandkids. David is survived by children: Sandy (Jason Petrick) Corrice, Sally (Timothy) Pierce, Johnathan (Lori Mihalko) Marmon, Joshua (Amber) Marmon, Amy (Timothy) Miller, Justin Marmon, Jeremiah (Jessica) Marmon; 18 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; siblings: Cindy (Richard) Scheer, Samuel (Louise) Marmon. David was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gregory Marmon; granddaughter, Haylee Hendricks. A spring burial will take place in Port Leyden, NY at the convenience of the family.
